Bill is a cranky old guy, but he's imaginative as all get out.
He's still an amazing model for me, even if he's whining about not being appreciated all the time.

Yeah, but you know sometimes whining is just high-pitched identification of something that really is a problem.

Yes, you're right. It's true that poetry is dominated, at least at the major presses and major minor presses, by the same old group of neo-formalists and nature writers. It's also true there's a lot of in-fighting and squabbling in the PoBiz world. But I think the rivalries have always been there -- they used to take it to the street with knives or duels.
