Jack, has purpledragonslair been in touch?

She's tagged you to write the next stanza in the Open Source Poem, which is intended to be passed kind of like a torch from one person to just one person, and so on, each adding a stanza for as long as it can be maintained for. No rules on form or content, although it's advised to try to build the story, to keep a certain coherence.

Full info is on my blog - just search on there for 'Open Source Poem' - and as well as writing your contribution, all you have to do is (a) post it on your blog with the title and (b) ensure people can follow the poetry trail backwards and forwards by including a link above your own section which links back to the previous stanza, and a link after it which shows where the site visitor needs to go to continue reading.

Yours is Open Source Poem IV, the next person - who you choose - will be writing Open Source Poem V, and so on and so forth. It's to be hoped it can be passed on forever, making it the longest poem ever written and in a very unique way. x
